Tubbs-Adobe Fire 2017: Rebuild 1544 SF SFD; 418 SF garage.
THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE REQUIRED:
BACKFLOW: Fire sprinklers will be required so a minimum 1” backflow device will be required per current City Standard 875.
WATER METER: There is an existing 5/8” water meter serving this parcel. This will need to be upsized to either a ¾” meter or 1” meter based upon what the Fire Department approves to meet the fire sprinkler requirements. If a 1” meter is required, a new box will need to be installed under an Encroachment Permit according to the City’s Engineered Approved List. Fees will be due for the larger meter.
SEWER LATERAL: A cleanout must be installed per City Standard 513 if none exists. If one needs to be installed or if the sewer lateral needs to be replaced, an Encroachment Permit will be required. Provide the Building Inspector with a report indicating that the sewer lateral is in working condition prior to the water service being re-instated.
FEES: Fees to upsize the existing water meter will be due. Fees cannot be determined until it is known what is being required by Fire. If a ¾” meter will be required, $10 will be due, if a 1” meter, $50 will be due prior to the larger meter being installed.
NOTE: CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR WORK WITHIN THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY SUBMITTED WITH THIS BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION ARE NOT APPROVED FOR CONSTRUCTION

Any improvements, proposed or required, within the public right or any existing public sewer or water easements will be reviewed and approved with the Encroachment Permit application. Only Construction plans submitted with the Encroachment Permit Application are final plans and will be approved for construction.
Submit plans showing all work in the public right of way, or in public easements, including all work on public utilities (water meter boxes, sewer lateral cleanouts, backflow devices, etc.) to the Resilient Permit Office at 100 Santa Rosa Ave, Room 6.
